COLTS NEWS

Some match reports from the weekend

U12 Mixed Vs Stevenage - Won 4-1

The team played well together and showed that they are applying skills learned in training , moving the ball wide, rolling out and V drags on show. Great goals from Tom and Finlay, with Curran also scoring. Other good performances from Francesca playing in goal first time and Zoe Ramsay (captain ) in midfield and some good stick skills from Tom. All behaved well and were a credit to the club.

U14 Girls Vs Potters Bar - Lost 0-6

Despite being up against strong opposition the girls U-14's played with great spirit and refused to give up. The last quarter of the game Ricky were the better team tackling well and narrowly failing to score a couple of goals. Creditable performances by amongst others -  Jazleen, Caleigh (captain) and Zoe Ramsay again - all linking well in midfield.  The girls will have learned a lot from playing better opposition and look forward to a re-match. Game played in good spirit and all players represented our club well.

Best players from home games - Thomas and Zoe.

U14 Boys Vs St Albans – Lost 3-2

The U14s first game was against a well organised and skilled St Albans team. To the teams credit they took the most of the chances they had and went into half time 2-0 up. Some good saves from Thomas West helped keep Ricky in the game. In the second half St Albans picked up their game and scored from some well worked passing moves. Overall the team deserved a draw  but succumbed to a late goal from St Albans.

 U14 Boys Vs Welwyn – Won 7-0

The score line shows a great victory here, with goals shared across the team. The most important skills I saw were the passing and movement in the attacking plays, if the team continues playing this way, it will stand them in good stead when playing stronger opposition.

Man of the match, across both games was Thomas West for showing skills at both ends of the pitch, playing well in goal in the first game and scoring a couple of goals in the second game.
